Can glass be smelted in a blast furnace?

Temperature control: Although blast furnaces can reach temperatures of 1500°C - 1600°C, they are mainly used for metal smelting and may not be suitable for the precise temperature control required for glass liquid.
Raw material adaptability: Blast furnaces are mainly designed to handle ores, while glass production requires specific raw material ratios and melting conditions, which blast furnaces may not be able to handle effectively.
 Product purity: Impurities and chemical reactions that may occur during the smelting process in blast furnaces could affect the quality and chemical stability of the glass.
