How to join glass together without glue?

In addition to glueing glass, we can also use flame high temperature heating welding to fuse two glass parts together into a whole. This is an advanced glass processing technology that requires good control of the flame temperature. It mainly uses high temperature to heat and melt the local position of the glass to be welded, and then fuses it together under a certain pressure. This process requires precise control of temperature and time to ensure welding quality and avoid deformation. As the temperature gradually decreases, the molten glass will slowly solidify to form a firm welding point, thus completing the pasting.

Operation process of glass hot melt welding

    1. Preparation: First, prepare the glass raw materials, preferably high-quality high-temperature resistant borosilicate glass. Then clean the glass to be welded to remove dirt and impurities on the surface. At the same time, prepare the required welding equipment, such as a  cylinder welding/attaching machine.

    2. Heating and melting: Use professional heating equipment to heat the edge of the glass to be welded until it melts. In this process, the temperature needs to be strictly controlled to prevent the glass from overheating and breaking. A fully automatic welding machine can accurately complete this process through screen settings.

    3. Apply pressure: After the edge of the glass melts, quickly apply a certain amount of pressure to fuse the molten glass together. The size and time of the pressure need to be adjusted according to the specific situation.

    4. Cooling and solidification: Maintain a certain pressure to allow the molten glass to solidify at a gradually decreasing temperature to form a firm welding point. If necessary, anneal it to avoid later cracking or deformation.

Application areas of glass hot-melt welding process

Glass hot-melt welding process is widely used in the production and repair of various glass products, such as processing and welding glass spouts, glass water cup handles, and the base of measuring cylinders. It is an indispensable process in the glass products industry. If you are interested in this equipment, please consult.
