How is the double-walled glass made?

The raw material of double-layer glass is high borosilicate glass. The only difference between double-layer glass and single-layer glass is that it is made of two layers of glass tubes of different sizes stacked together.Glass cups are made of glass tubes through multiple processes, including cutting, pressing, bottom burning, thread pressing, quenching and sealing. These processes also require the assistance of multiple machines, such as glass tube cutting machines, glass bottom sealing machines and threading machines.

1. Put the glass tube into the feeding port of the glass tube cutting machine, set the parameters according to the required length of the glass cup and start the machine. The glass tube is cut by the principle of alternating hot and cold.

2. Put the cut glass tube into the bottom sealing machine and fix it with the clamp. After turning on the machine, the glass tube is brought to the corresponding position by the roller and heated to the melting point. At this time, the machine slices it into two parts, and then the pressing mold presses out the bottom of the glass cup.

3. Thicken the bottom of the cup. Put the sealed bottom of the glass cup into the glass press, heat it with a flame to soften the bottom of the cup, and pressurize and cool it to form a thick bottom.

4. According to the needs, the outer layer of the printed glass cup is covered with a glass tube of appropriate diameter and heat treated, and then the semi-finished product is sent to the quenching furnace for processing.

5. Seal the glass cup by heating the inner glass tube to melt it first and then heating the outer glass tube. Then quickly rotate the glass cup and pressurize the glass mouth to make the two glass tubes melt into one.

6. Finally, use a threading machine to heat the bottle mouth and print out the threads to complete the production. The glass is evenly cooled and the appearance is inspected.

The difference between single glass and double glass:

Different processes: Double-layered glass cups require special molds and 600° high temperature and high pressure and other complex steps. They are highly adaptable to temperature and are not easy to explode. Single-layered glass cups save many steps
Different functions: Double-layered glass has higher heat preservation, is resistant to friction, has good heat insulation and is not hot
Different appearance: Double-layered glass cups are more beautiful and advanced
Different convenience: Double-layered glass cups are easy to use but difficult to clean. Compared with single-layered glass cups, they are much more convenient.
